Please note: this is an adult event. We're going to be cussin' and cuttin' up so please leave young children at home.
The wedding will be held at Mills College, a women's college in Oakland. Neither Kamilah nor Johnny have a connection to Mills but they have enjoyed the delicious (and cheap!) cafeteria food with Kamilah's cousin, Stacy, who is a graduate student. See here for more information about Mills College.
We encourage out of town guests to make use of ride-sharing apps to avoid dealing with parking in downtown Oakland. Mills is not easily accessible by BART. It is important that you enter Mills College Chapel on Richards Rd (no street number) rather than the main campus address so you are directed to the correct entrance. You can use these links to download Lyft or Uber and receive free credit for your first ride. When leaving we suggest that, if able, you walk back down the path and order your Lyft/Uber to pick up at F.W. Olin Library rather than at the Alumnae House.
Parking on Mills College campus is available. You are welcome to park in any space not marked "Resident." There is a short (0.3 mile) walk between the ceremony and reception. We suggest that you park closer to the Reinhardt Alumnae Hall if possible. We also ask that you leave the spaces directly in front of the chapel open for those with mobility issues.
